How much do you charge?
Our rates are extremely competitive and vary according to your needs, playing time and overall time on-site. Please request a bespoke quote. One thing we can promise is the price quoted will be competitive and the price quoted is the price you pay. Absolutely no hidden extras !
Can I come and see you play live?
We play a variety of public venues in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, West London and surrounding areas. Our gig diary gives you an up to date list of both previous and future bookings. Please give Andrew a buzz on 07590 579849 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you cant find a gig near you as we may well sort out a pub gig just for you.
Do you have a free Demo CD
All our demos are available on our website and are free to listen to for as long as you want. If you prefer a CD in the post, just ask and we will send you one.
How can I check if you're available?
Please give us a call on 07590 579849 or drop an email to email@example.com and we can discuss in person.
How long does it take you to set up your equipment?
Between 45 minutes and an hour and a half, depending on ease of access and the amount of equipment and lighting required. The average is around 60 minutes, and this includes all sound checks. We always like to turn up early where we can, so avoid setting up with your guest around as we have quite a bit of kit we travel with. Always better to be set up and ready for when your guests arrive.
Do I Need a DJ or Disco as well ?
The Camels are a completely self sufficient operation. We carry our own PA, lighting rigs and always have a massive library of music available for entertaining during set breaks and after the band have finished. Of course it is completely up to you and we are happy to work with DJ’s and Disco’s.
How far do you travel?
We are based in and around East Berkshire. We normally travel within 50 mile radius of this area but will travel further. Contact us for details.
How far in advance should I book you?
As early as possible! Popular dates are often booked 6 - 12 months in advance, but please check our twitter feed for dates as we can be available at very short notice if the date is free
Can I choose music from your playlist?
Yes, you can choose your favourites, we do update our set list regularly so it's better to do this a few weeks prior to your event. We also have well tried and tested sets that are well rehearsed and tested ready for your audience, so if you prefer to let us just get on with the entertainment, then that is fine as well.
Can you play our 'first dance' live?
Yes, the band is happy to play your first dance live and we are happy to learn it for you. This would be subject to us doing the song justice and a minimum of 4 weeks notice to learn and rehearse it.
Alternatively, if you prefer you can choose a song from our current set list or if you have a specific song which you prefer in its original format and artist, we will play it for you on our iPod via the PA prior to our first live set.
How much space do you require?
Typically the performance area (or stage) should be 4 metres wide x 3 metres deep (minimum). We can set up in smaller spaces if required, but please let us know in advance or contact us for advice
What happens if one of the band members is ill?
Being a professional band, we try to ensure that we always have access to other professional musicians who can act as deputies should any one of our members fall ill at late notice. Each 'dep' has worked with the Camels before and are highly experienced professional musicians and performers in their own right. Although it is incredibly rare that any of our members would be unable to perform, since we all love our music!
